LRB Tie-Rod Expansion Joint, Weld Neck Ends
LRB Tie-Rod Expansion Joint with Weld Neck Ends is designed to accommodate lateral movement in piping systems, reduce stresses caused by thermal expansion and improve system reliability. Its tie rods keep movement within defined limits and help distribute loads more evenly across the line.
The unit uses an AISI 321 stainless steel bellows for long service life at elevated temperatures and under demanding operating conditions. The standard construction includes St 37.2 carbon steel weld necks, tie rods and centre pipe. Optional materials such as AISI 304, AISI 316L and AISI 316Ti are available for the bellows; AISI 304 or AISI 316 options can also be specified for other components.
The connection is weld neck x weld neck. The standard pressure class is PN16, with optional solutions from PN25 to PN64. The stated operating temperature range is −80°C to +427°C, with optional temperature capability up to +1100°C, subject to configuration.
The product family offers four movement ranges: HLS 25 LRB accommodates −25 to +25 mm, HLS 50 LRB −50 to +50 mm, HLS 75 LRB −75 to +75 mm and HLS 100 LRB −100 to +100 mm. Total axial movement is 30 mm for DN25–DN50 and 60 mm for DN65–DN300.
The LRB tie-rod expansion joint with weld neck ends is suited to mechanical services, steam and hot-fluid lines, and industrial processes where lateral displacement must be controlled.
